Services

1. Accommodation:
Volunteering is the new era of travel, where anyone as individual, can contribute to globalization. Travelling Nepal as a volunteer will serve you a warm welcome to the tradition, culture and social activities. During your stay in Nepal, you will stay with the host family which helps you understand the Nepali culture. You will also have opportunity for participating in the family gatherings which helps you exploring Nepali life.

When you arrive for the placements, you will be introduced to the host family and premises. The stay rooms might not be as luxurious as expected but they will be private, clean and comfortable unless requested otherwise. The quality of toilet and washing facilities vary significantly with placements. In Kathmandu based placements, western style toilets will be available whereas, in the rural placements traditional squat toilets are more prevalent with cold sower. If you want hot sower and western styled toilet, please mention in the application. This makes us easy for finding well equipped host families so far possible.
Due to the nationwide electricity shortage, there will be 6-8 hours power cut-off daily. In some houses of urban families, they will have power back up but in rural families candles are better option. We request you to bring head-torch along with.
2. Food:
During placements, you will have two meals per day with the host families and share the same food with them. The usual meal times are 9-10am in the morning and 6-8 pm in the evening daily. During meals you will be served with a plate of rice, lentils, vegetable curry, pickles and occasionally meat (mutton or chicken). Although if you are a vegetarian or allergic to something, it can be explained. You will be provided with clean drinking water.

4. Tour packages:
All our volunteers will be given detailed description and assisted for their visit around touristic places during spare time. Also we'll help you organize the trekking, adventure tour packages as you desire. But please note that all those packages will not be included in the fees given.
Hiking and sightseeing programs will also be provided with inclusion in the fees provided.
