Working as a volunteer in own or another country will provide you with the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and skills which you may not have been able to acquire at home. The obvious example is learning a foreign language much faster than you could at home by immersing yourself into the language and culture. In addition, by volunteering in your field of interest you will have the opportunity to learn new ways to approach different problems, and you will gain valuable work experience in a new environment.

Hinduism is practiced by about 81% of Nepalese - making it the country with the highest percentage of Hindu followers. Buddhism, though a minority faith in the country, is linked historically with Nepal.

The major languages of Nepal (percent spoken as mother tongue) is Nepali. Nepal has a climate that
ranges from subtropical summers with mild winters in the southern lowlands to an alpine climate with cool summers as well as severe winters in the mountains.
Among the earliest inhabitants were the Newars of the Kathmandu Valley and aboriginal Tharus in the Southern Terai region. The Indo-Nepalese migrated from India and are ancestors of the Brahmin and Chhetri caste group, which account for nearly 80% of the population.

The Tibeto-Nepalese account for the remainder who originated from central Asia and Tibet, including the Gurungs, Magars and Tamang in the west, Rais and Limbus in the east, and Sherpas and Bhotes in the north.
